Hi my name's Wen, and i've been playing the drums for more than 20 years. I've gotten to play for and work with some of the most amazing musicians in the world, some famous, some not so famous, but definitely all world class.

I think of myself as a musician who definitely has some amount of talent, but definitely was not born with some kind prodigious gift. I've had many great teachers along the way, but had to find a way to digest the information and apply an analytical mind and a passion for playing this instrument as a MUSICAL instrument towards my own learning.

I've applied these concepts to teaching many of my own students to great success  and many of them are professionals and performers in their own right today. I don't think i'm bringing anything new to the table, but perhaps the way I present it, or communicate it to the student who is searching may be helpful for the student out there who is searching for understanding

In the interest of believing that the nature of truth is that if you put it out into the world, it will naturally find its audience, this site is dedicated to all my brothers who are earnestly looking for answers to help us play this instrument better so that what we produce will have a positive effect on those around us.
